so my main present for xmas this year was to be an iPod. since we are on a tight budget, i let julia know she could either get a reburbished one though apple or a used on on ebay. she ended up giving me money, and i went the ebay route.

i've never had problems with ebay before, so i was bummed when i was sent an iPod that was defective (i won't get into the tech stuff here, but it's been tested and troubleshooted up the butt, and is indeed defective).

i contected the seller, ebay, paypal, and my credit card company. i am determined to get my money back, and it looks like that will happen. i already plunked down more money for a new iPod that should be here next week, and need the seller to refund my credit card asap. hopefully, he's not a scammer who is gonna give me problems.

in better news, i got a better deal than the first iPod (IMHO). the first one was less than $200 (including shipping), but was a 15 gig one (the one with buttons and a click wheel), no dock, and no headphones. the "new" one is a 30 gig one throuh macmall, engraved with my contact info (free), and comes with free FM transmitter & car charger and travel case. including rush shipping (i want my iPod, dammit!) it was $300.

hopefully, i'll have the iPod by tuesday. now that i'm a Y member again, i need it to work out to! time on the cardio machines just drags without music!

i have started a second blog, one that actually is personal. in the past, my blog have been a public face to one facet of me- mainly professional. a lot of my opinions have been left out of my web presence.

but in 2006, i want to muse & ponder. i want to share my opinions on all sorts of stuff. i wanna get cranky in public!!!
